There is a deep psychological difference between selling firearms privately and selling firearms at auction. The mindset of the private buyer is, "What is the lowest price I can pay and still get the gun?" But at auction, buyers are thinking, "What is the highest price I am willing to pay to get the gun?"   Before we sell any of your guns at auction, we need to know what we are working with and how much it might be worth to buyers. To aid us in our detective work, we ask that you use our online evaluation form to send us a list of  the items you wish to sell with an attached photograph for each. Most of the time, this will be enough information for us to provide you with a reasonable estimate of what your property might sell for at auction.

  In some cases,  we may need to gather additional information about a particular gun to account for its rarity or historical significance. When this becomes necessary, we'll make personal contact to discuss the best option for obtaining the information.

  After making the decision to consign your property to Triggers, arrangements must be made to have things delivered to our business office. Usually, for consignments of only a few items, shipping by common carrier is going to be the most efficient method. You are not required to have a license , or work through a gun dealer to ship firearms to us. It's a simple matter of packing things securely, and taking items to the shipping company of your choice for delivery. As the consignor, you will be responsible for packing, shipping, and insurance charges.

  If you have a large estate or private collection to sell, Triggers will work with you to arrange volume pickup of inventory items anywhere in the United States.

  Shortly after your property arrives at Triggers for cataloging and photography, it will be uploaded to our auction website for preview and sale. We proudly partner with Proxibid.com® to invite thousands of pre-qualified gun buyers to bid on your property online. The Triggers auction team typically starts posting new items around the first of each month, with auctions starting between the tenth and fifteenth. Auctions last for a period of ten days, with the possibility of automatic time extensions for bids received within (5) minutes of posted closing times. At the end of each sale, the auction team will take care of buyer payment and shipping transactions leading up to settlement with sellers.

  Settlement for sold property is made (35) calendar days after delivery/shipment of property to the buyer. Your payment will be based on the hammer price less a commission and any agreed-upon expenses.
